How long will it take to receive a decision on my application?
We aim to operate a fast and effective entry clearance service. Last year, over
90% of straightforward, non-settlement applications were resolved within 24
hours. If an interview is required, we aim to process non-settlement
applications within 15 working days. If you are applying to settle in the UK,
in most cases we aim to process your application within 12 weeks.
These processing times can change, so please make your application in good
time, but no longer than 3 months before you travel.

I am a regular traveller to the UK. Is there any system under which my
application can be expedited?
Yes. If you meet the criteria you may use the "Fast Track" facility. All
applications must be supported by relevant documentation and submitted at the
VFS office. You can usually collect your passport within four working days
between 1500 hours and 1700 hours, Monday to Friday.

the entry clearance officer will wish to interview you. He will advise you if
he wishes to do so.

British High Commission.
