  • Who are we?

    VFS Global is a commercial company, working in partnership with the UK Border Agency at the British High Commission in Kenya providing services to help people apply for a visa to enter the United Kingdom (UK). UK Border Agency in Kenya processes visa applications submitted in Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.


  • How can we help you?

    You will find information on this website, supplied by the UK Border Agency, about how to apply for a visa to enter the UK, if you need one. From this website you can also find information on the VFS free email service and telephone information service (calls charged at local call rates) which will provide the same information that is given on this website.

    VFS also manages the visa application centre for the UK Border Agency in Kenya, where you should submit your application, your biometric data and pay the visa application fee. The address details of the visa application centre can be found in the 'Contact Us' section of this website.

    Information about the UK's immigration rules and policies can be found on UK Border Agency website.


  • Where can I get advice?

    VFS Global and its staff cannot give you advice on how to complete your visa application, or what type of visa you should apply for. If you need help with your visa application or advice about the UK's immigration rules and requirements, you should seek advice from a qualified immigration adviser. In the UK immigration advisers regulated by the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC - www.oisc.gov.uk).

    You can also obtain advice from legally qualified professionals regulated by designated professional bodies. A list of legally qualified professionals who can advise on immigration matters can be downloaded from the following websites:

    Please note: The Law Societies of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and the Institute of Legal Executives cannot provide direct help or advice on visa applications. They can only provide a list of law firms who can advise on immigration matters.


  • Who decides if I will get a visa?

    Your visa application will be processed and decided by UK Border Agency visa staff. VFS staff do not play any part in or influence the outcome of your visa application. If any member of our staff claims to be able to influence your application, you should inform the UK Border Agency at the British High Commission as soon as possible.
